Third Avenue

Third Avenue is a neighbourhood restaurant and late-night bar located in the heart of Hove. It features an art deco influenced bar and restaurant with a cosy heated terrace and secret speakeasy nightclub.

The menu offers Eastern Mediterranean inspired small plates designed for good times and sharing, as well as a killer cocktail menu.

Good Noise were commissioned to rebrand Third Avenue as part of a wider project which included an interior refit and change of positioning.

The owner was keen to move the emphasis away from its previous daytime focused, cafe feel and embrace a more sophisticated day to night offering to include cocktails and small plates. A key focus area was to ensure that we were able to communicate this change of positioning through the new identity.

The rebrand included a brand positioning workshop, followed by design of all of the supporting brand assets, including signage, menus, print, as well as the design and build of a new website. We managed the process from concept through to production and installation.

We used a clean typeface to keep the branding feeling modern and sleek.

The icon is made up of three cocktail glasses to tie up with the Third Avenue name. It was designed to work as minimal, stand alone mark, as well as combined with the brand name and descriptor text to form a logo lock up.

We combined bespoke leather menu covers with a touch of rose gold foiling to be paired with leather bill holders with matching detailing. The rose gold touches are carried across to the business cards for a continuation of the premium finish.
